Philly or bust

I just came back from a 16 hour road trip to Philly, to support a friend, eat some food, and see some sights. Like I posted earlier, Mr. Skobie Won and 5 other bands, were chosen to battle it out for a spot to open for the PacTour when it came to Philly. We packed two cars and drove about 4 hours to get there, He was definitely the furthest contestant to play. Most of the other bands were from the area or surrounding area.

We arrived a couple hours early, we found some great food at the local mall...

After scarfing down as much of that amazing food as we could, (see above picture) we headed to love park. The park was pretty cool, the love sculpture was smaller than most of us thought it was going to be. Just before love park is a building with huge game pieces scattered all about. I really wanted to take one of them for my apt.

The venue that was hosting this battle was pretty small as well, it did fill out nicely though. I will say one bad thing about this place, I'm not sure if it's a Philly thing or what, but the bartender gave me a lemon for my Blue Moon. Who does this, I'd really like to know.

Skobie killed it as usual, how many of you are enjoying his free cd he handed out? If you weren't there you defiantly missed out on a good time. I'll hopefully be back in Philly sooner than later.
