I have to be honest, I do miss blogging, I really can't remember the last time I did. Things have been pretty quiet on here, aside from the Twitter page. Over the last five months or so I've been busy planning a benefit show and moving. As of two weeks ago I've finally settled down, I'm in the process of working on projects for other people. SSC isn't going to end, It's just been on hold. I truly want to make an effort to update as much as possible.

I'd like to be able to share some of the projects I'm working on but I really can't. I'll share them as soon as they are completed.

Designer Drugs, Drop Down

Designer Drugs finally released their video for Drop Down. I've been waiting quite sometime to watch this video, since reading their casting call. I discovered DD around a year and a half ago during the Providence Indie Arts Fest. They were set to play the Red Bull Dj Tunnel, and I honestly haven't been able to get enough of these guys since. Their last mix, Datamix 08 is great, my next favorite would be Datamix 07. They are currently fueling all my projects...

In Remembrance

It's been some time since I've blogged anything. One of the main reasons for the lack of updates was because of a very important project I had been asked to do. Last year we had all lost an amazing friend, Jarrad Dietz, for myself it was a relationship that started off bad and grew into something great. So great that Jarrad and I with the help of two friends, Mike Rockwell and Skobie Won, began Kings & Killers. It was something we all enjoyed doing, whether or not it ever became anything didn't matter. This was about the company of four friends, in a garage, creating something they all loved. Jarrad was an extremely talented individual, he enjoyed many things, and was always there for his friends.

A couple months ago I had been asked to create a small memorial for him. All of my energy was focused toward this. The following pictures and video capture this process. The video shows 3 hours and 45 minutes or printing, cutting, and taping. as well as what took only 45 minutes to paste up. I hope you enjoy the following images and video.

Daft Punk; Leaked?

Searching the web for more Tron 2 footage I came across want seems to be one of Daft Punks songs for the movie. To be completely honest if it wasn't for DP I probably wouldn't have cared about this movie. I had never seen the first, but the traliors I've seen for this movie have gotten me excited. The Blizzard of '09

Last night it snowed like crazy, and much of the day as well. The last 24 hours were full of hot cocoa with rum, hot cocoa with coffee, and hot cocoa with fluff! It always seems when a decent size storm heads this way it starts to dissipate or it switches to rain. Not this one, I was honestly more excited than a little kid on Christmas morning, over this snow storm.

Most of the day was spent on the couch with the kids (our cats) watching movies and enjoying an amazing homemade southwest corn chowder. After unburring the girlfriends car from the mound of snow that had fallen on it, that chowder hit the spot.

There must have been a total of 15" out there, I'm really hoping for something close to 4' before winter ends.

Midnight Snack

The other night I made the most amazing beer can chicken, rubbed with Dr. Gonzos One Hump Rub No. 2. Along with a side of white rice and sautéed zuquini and squash.

Beer can chicken has to be by far the best way to cook a whole chicken. The meat it so juicy and flavorful, I can't remember the last time I had a midnight snack as delicious as this was.

Dr. Gonzo has some amazing products, if you don't know him you can certainly check him out at a beerfest. If you like like hot I suggest you try his "supermash" I haven't had the pleasure myself, after seeing what it does to people I stick to what I know. You can find Dr. Gonzo online at;

Deadlines and New Super Mario Bros. for Wii

This has been the craziest month for me so far. Everything seemed to happen in the last three weeks, my court dates for my ridiculous tickets, my girlfriends brother getting married before he gets shipped overseas, a dentist appointment. To top everything off, the new Super Mario for Wii.

Speaking of deadlines, I missed this one, a special print for friends is coming in a little later than I would have wanted it to. Enough of this aggravation watch these awesome videos for the game HYPE HYPE HYPE!!!

Paper Monster

Just got Paper Monsters new stickers in the mail. I waited over a week to get these bad boys, did I mention they were free? Paper Monster is a talented stencil artist located somewhere between New York and New Jersey. His colorful stencils set over newspaper clippings and patterns are nothing short of beautiful.

Philly or bust

I just came back from a 16 hour road trip to Philly, to support a friend, eat some food, and see some sights. Like I posted earlier, Mr. Skobie Won and 5 other bands, were chosen to battle it out for a spot to open for the PacTour when it came to Philly. We packed two cars and drove about 4 hours to get there, He was definitely the furthest contestant to play. Most of the other bands were from the area or surrounding area.

We arrived a couple hours early, we found some great food at the local mall...

After scarfing down as much of that amazing food as we could, (see above picture) we headed to love park. The park was pretty cool, the love sculpture was smaller than most of us thought it was going to be. Just before love park is a building with huge game pieces scattered all about. I really wanted to take one of them for my apt.

The venue that was hosting this battle was pretty small as well, it did fill out nicely though. I will say one bad thing about this place, I'm not sure if it's a Philly thing or what, but the bartender gave me a lemon for my Blue Moon. Who does this, I'd really like to know.

Skobie killed it as usual, how many of you are enjoying his free cd he handed out? If you weren't there you defiantly missed out on a good time. I'll hopefully be back in Philly sooner than later.

Tomorrow Skobie will be at Balcony Bar, 1003 Arch St Philadelphia, PA battling it out with 5 other bands for a chance at the next round. Sinful Stars just received a huge face lift if you hadn't noticed. I'm real stocked on the blog integrations as well as the store. Take a look around, there are some new sections you should defiantly check out. There are two new blogs, "Visual Assault" and "Video Vault" one is an image blog the other a video blog. You'll find some crazy things in there from time to time so keep checking in and spread the word.
